For all my warm climate readers? These are the ice shacks in my town.

Small plywood and tin buildings, usually uninsulated and always with a large hole in the floor. A more uncomfortable bordello you’re not apt to find.

If you’ve ever been ice fishing you know how ridiculous this is. If you haven’t? Trust me… it’s not the least bit conducive to amorous activities.

I’ve never been there either, but my bias is sports related. I’m a hardcore Michigan fan and Blowhio is the enemy when it comes to football. The only redeeming quality in the entire state of Ohio is the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. If the Bengals had won the Super Bowl, Blowhio would have had two redeeming qualities. But it’s still only the RRHOF.

‘Ally Bean sent me’ as did you by way of commenting on my post today. When Ilived in Maine, the ice shacks were smaller and I would think quite uncomfortable. Often there were no shacks at all, just traps on the river. I once lived in Ohio, too, but I do not recall it being cold enough for ice fishing. Especially not THAT kind of ice fishing.

Most people use shacks up here, but comfortable they’re not. And I can’t say I’ve ever seen one tricked out with red satin sheets.
