The drought is still turning our lawn into sandpaper and killing every living thing I’ve planted… so right now? I’m liking these.
.

.
Though I’ll have to switch ‘something green’ to ‘something brown’. I’ve got plenty of those.
.

.
A duck popping spaceship? I like! Sign me up.
.

.
Lord Dudley Mountcatten? I always like him… though the man cave leather club chairs didn’t like his claws.. at all.
.

.
Oh yes, that’s a tee shirt I definitely like.
.

.
Keith.
If you don’t like him now, no worries. He’ll wait until you do.
.
You should obviously try planting Keith Richards in your garden if you want something that won’t die on you…

Chuck Norris will give Keith Richards eulogy

Ha! I wouldn’t doubt it. And if there’s a high profile funeral? Steven Seagal will crash it….

I had pet ducks as a boy and grew to love them. Anyone who abduckts ducks should be tarred and feathered.

We had ducks as well. They’re wonderful..

I think I mentioned this in a blog earlier: If it is still alive and green, it is a weed.

At this point I’m thankful for them, otherwise we’d look like the Sahara.

We are getting our usual afternoon rain. That would be like 30 days in a row. Just an inch or two, but it is everyday. We lent a few floods to Texas this past week, maybe we can do the same for you.

Please do. We’ve only had a few sprinkles in the past two months.

Ha! I need those for my plants that died, although with monsoon season hitting, my once dying grass is now green and lush and full of weeds determined to fuck with me. Now, I literally have to cut my weed infested grass every tree days. Especially since the city’s code compliance is compliance ticket trigger happy and will give people tickets if their grass is over 6” tall, mofos. I love that game, it looks interesting indeed. As for his lordship, regal as always.

By letting your grass grow in a heatwave/drought — if it can get to six inches high you are protecting your lawn from burning. People who cut their lawns too often are begging for the grass to die. I think you would have a good case in court that you are protecting your greenspaces.

We mowed this morning for the first time in a month. And even then, just in certain areas. But we live in the country, no city ordinances here.

Lucky you!

That used to be us, every 3 days. This summer? I just mowed this morning, first time in a month.

I haven’t, but probably should.

Abducktion looks like a purchase. I’ve been on the lookout for a strategy game involving ducks and a spaceship.

I like the succulent bowl on the coffee table behind Lord Dudley. How old are its inhabitants?

Just a few years. There were originally 4 varieties in the pot… but two didn’t like the man cave and died.

I’m just wondering how big they will grow. Succulents don’t need much of a root system. We had our Mother-in-Law-Toungues in a shallow pot until they grew too tall and fell over, I guess from their own weight. Since we repotted them in deeper pots they are okay, and over 3′ in height, some are getting close to 4′.

I hope these don’t get that big. I just wanted a table arrangement.

Kieth will keep on going. Charlie Watts, the one who didn’t use every drug ever, is the one that died.

Still no rain? That’s terrible! I wish I could send some your way as we’re having monsoons each afternoon.
Lord Dudley should be a model: he’s gorgeous!!
LOL at Keith Richards!

We’ve had a few lousy drizzles while the western part of the state has downpours. We’ve gone from moderate to severe drought.
