.
Our backyard has been pretty busy of late.
.

.
And our resident herd of ten are showing up every night.
.

.
They don’t usually visit when it’s still light enough to grab photos, so this was a treat.
.

.
You can have television. I’ll happily sit and watch these beautiful creatures instead.
.

.
The harem master.
.

.
I’m so glad he made it through hunting season unscathed.
.

.
In case you’re wondering why they’re called White Tailed Deer.
😉
.
Oh my! How fortunate you are to have such gracious beauty visit you so openly.

Eventually they will attract the next level of the food chain, so be careful!

We’ve had one bear in 20 years. We do have coyotes now and then though…

“Light enough to grab photos” was such good luck….
To be rewarded with a dole of doe, besides a buck.

I’m impressed you’ve still got so much snow on the ground! The rest of the Northeast has been shut out, it seems.

The photos were taken last week, it’s almost gone now after a week of warm weather … but we’re due for an all day/night snowstorm Thursday so hopefully it comes back.

We’ve got a winter weather mess heading our way, too. Just as we’re ready to start moving boxes over to the new house, of course.

Moving in winter. Been there, done that…
Not anxious to do it again.
Good luck!

RAISES BOTH HANDS: I know why they’re called white-tailed deer! A little late to the party, but you know!
They are so pretty…so regal! What a lovely sight for you.
