Then… and now.

I know some people don’t like them, but I enjoy the memories that pop up on my Facebook feed showing the photos I posted on a particular day 5 or 10 years ago.

Today?

I saw this one from February 2013.

Then –

The husband walking on the road in front of our house with a high backdrop of snow.

This morning?

It looks a little different.

It makes me sad that real Maine winter storms seem to be a thing of the past.

    1. Our winters have been practically nonexistent for the past ten years. A little snow but nothing like it used to be. It’s almost 50 degrees today. In Maine. In February!

    1. And I don’t know about you, but our summers are hotter. Maine never needed air conditioning, now we’re popping units in multiple windows in early June. 90 degree temps were unheard of here, but now they’re normal. I hate it!

  1. We will probably be moving back to Vermont in the next year and I’m not looking forward to the cold and snow but their summers are getting much, much warmer requiring a/c and that’s just not a given in Vermont – a/c I mean.

    1. It’s not. We spent an extremely hot week in Killington for the 4th of July a few years back. It was awful! Temps of 100 degrees. Restaurants were empty because it was just too damned hot.
