I saw something in the news recently that made me do a double take.
.

.
And it made me wonder if flamingos are now an official NASA unit of measurement.
If so,..
.

.
Nothing to be scared of there.

So fourteen flamingos standing head to toe measured across the meteor ? Or are their legs folded ? Or is the meteor going to fast to tell ?

I hear that NASA was going to describe the asteroid as being the size of 14 flaming igloos (to dramatize the effect of global warming), but the Eskimo lobby in Washington put the heat on Congress to throw cold water on that idea, and flamingos are tickled pink to get the publicity.

14 flamingos = 168 lawn gnomes, which sounds more impressive.

True story: we will be launching a little business enterprise next year called 14 Flamingos. It’ll be fresh-grown garden produce with a roadside stand. Asteroids, no. Artichokes, yes!

Artichokes the size of asteroids? You’ll do well…
