.
Then the world’s largest lobster roll must be even better.
.

.
The Taste of Maine is a family owned and operated coastal restaurant that’s been a staple for tourists for the past 45 years.
You might recognize it’s giant lobster from my previous posts.
.

.
Yes, it really is that big.
What’s also big is the price tag for that super sized crustacean sandwich.
.

.
You read correctly. $160 for what amounts to two pounds of lobster on a roll.
.

.
No self respecting Maine native would ever order one or pay such a ridiculous price, but a week after they opened for the season they’d already sold quite a few….
.

.
For that price you should get it any damn way you please.
.
Pretty sure Mothra will show up momentarily, and then the REAL trouble begins!

They’re sure to charge extra for that.

No Way Mothra will settle for second billing as a side…

I like lobster but not in a roll! And certainly not at those prices.

I love lobster rolls, cold with mayo or hot with butter… and miss them both terribly since coming up allergic.

I would like to try one but I would also need my plane ticket home.

Yeah, that’s a tough choice.

That is a bit too much of a good thing. Love me some lobster, but not down for eating that much in one sitting. I’d be getting most of that to go and breaking it down into future meals.

It would be a meal for 3, maybe 4 people. Lobster is rich.

Why? Just why?…

Because they can. And apparently people like having their picture taken with it.

Well…that $160 lobster roll looks kinda….small, lol.

If you think that’s small, a regular roll would be a nugget.

Well, I’m from Texas so our portions are just a tad bigger, lol

Our state economy counts on it.

That looks like a set for a Steven King story. Finish your dinner kids and I will check if it is safe to make a break for the car !

Ha!
Well, we’re in the right state for it.

No self-respecting Nova Scotian would order and pay that. We would cook our own lobsters and make a lobster roll with the leftovers. Or not. Who needs the bread?

Amen.

No sandwich that costs $160 is “worth every penny.”

Never having bought one I can’t agree or deny. But it does seem a trifle excessive.

If a “trifle” means “$140” then yeah: a trifle excessive.

Well, it’s lobster and that’s never cheap. A nice full ( regular size ) roll will run you $30 -$35 on the coast right now.

“No mayo” is key. Glad that’s on offer.
