Every night when the sun starts to set?
.

.
We have a visitor. Sometimes two…
.

.
Apples, berries and some taurine rich grain free dry dog food are the reason.
.

.
They come to nibble seed that falls from our bird feeders but I can’t resist putting out a better snack.

I’m not sure that your neighbouring farmers appreciate your gesture but I do.

The fox are here anyway. They come for our apple trees, our blueberries bushes and our seed. They hunt mice in the fields. I’m just laying out an extra treat.

I think ‘crazy like a fox’ is also viewed as a compliment to the human race.

You are truly a good friend to the wildlife in your neck of the woods. You have such beautiful animals in your back yard.

It’s one of the reasons I love living here!

We have red foxes, which are the only ones I am used to seeing so that I thought your fox was some odd anomaly. I had to do a search to discover you have grey foxes. He is quite the handsome fellow.

We have grey foxes but they also turn red in the fall. Very confusing.

They look so different…red foxes have larger more pointy ears and a longer snout and longer legs…sleeker than a grey fox. Your fellow is a chonky healthy looking guy…must be his diet, eh.

Well, in his defense….. we do lay out a nice buffet.

YAY! I love the chuckers and the deer, but the foxes are my favorite visitors of yours!

They usually come after dark and are hard to photograph through the window… hence, less pictures.

We live very close to a zoo an this morning, holy cow, the lion was roaring like there was no tomorrow. It was on and off for an hour. Typical king-of-the-beast, I-don’t-care-who-I-wake-up, lion behavior. Anyway, my point is that I’m glad they don’t come “visit” like you fox friends.

I would love to have lion visits. The most exotic we’ve ever had is a bear.

I’ve only ever seen red foxes before. Not to be confused with Redd Foxx. I never got a chance to see him.
