Not quite red, white and blue.

.

Mother Nature is putting on her own fireworks show at Casa River.

.

.

And while it’s not the true red, white and blue of the Fourth…

.

.

Pink and purple are close enough for me.

.

.

The Japanese irises are still in bloom and the peonies are starting to pop.

.

.

They’re truly gorgeous blooms and smell divine with a rich heady fragrance.

.

.

Happy holidays from my garden to yours!

❤️

      1. Neither of us has a green thumb. We once killed a cactus. My wide has also unsuccessfully tried growing herbs..the main problem being we never get direct sunlight, so even our cat can never truly fur tan

  1. Happy birthday to those who live below the 49th Parallel, or anywhere inside the world’s longest undefended border, wherever they may be.
Just saying, but your gardens look like a lot of hard work was put into them. Anytime you want a vacation you can come up here and create similar gardens in our yard. Now that we cannot move around as easily as once we did, nature has run wild. And there are no red squirrels or woodchucks to contend with, just 8 month long winters. 😂

      1. Did I tell you Gail has been moved up the list for knee replacement surgery? We finally found a surgeon who agrees she needs surgery ASAP, except, he is going on extended holidays he booked last year. So we are looking at probably August or September. Not great, but better than we had — which was nothing.

      2. It was the surgeon who suggested it after looking at her knee, and seeing the x-rsys. He said rhere was to way to save it, it was beyond normal repair possibilities.
