Random ramblings.

.

Here’s a drone shot of a section of our farming neighbor’s property. It was so pretty I thought I’d share.

.

.

I’m in awe of all those perfectly aligned weeded garden beds.

.

.

In case you ever wondered what type of finish you should be using.

A local Maine man who did well for himself and ended up owning half his town’s businesses just implemented this program. Free food for school age children. Proof positive there are still good people in this world.

As you know, once we install new living room floors I’ll be shopping for new furniture. And while the husband is fine with replacing the couches, armchairs and coffee tables he started mumbling that we really didn’t need to update the dining room table and chairs we’ve had for almost 40 years.

.

.

I beg to differ.

🤣

A new medical study has revealed women who have frequent and long lasting hot flashes… read, me… are at a greater risk for heart disease and stroke. Women who have frequent night sweats… read, me… are at a greater risk for dementia.

So that’s it.

I’m doomed.

    1. I heard he served 60 meals on the first day. It’s a wonderful thing to do but yowza, that’s a lot of food. Wonder how long he’ll be able to do it.
Sorry about the tachycardia. That’s not a line I want to be on.

  2. I like modern except when it comes to certain types of furniture – your dining room table is a keeper tho possibly I’m not crazy about the legs – the table top is excellent.

  3. In case you want to add this to the “type of finish you should be using,” my wife uses makeup to finish her face. Once, I told her that her face is fine just the way it is, not noticing that she already had makeup on. I used makeup to cover my black eye, and it worked well.

  4. Good news: your blog posts are very coherent and readable. No sign of dementia yet.
Yes, that man is doing a very nice thing for kids, but remember the nightly family dinner? I lament the go, go, go nature of today’s families with kids. Guess I’m livin’ in the past…

    1. Thank you. I often wonder if anyone will even notice if my posts become dementia ridden. 😉
I cook family dinner every night, though admittedly it’s only for two. It’s funny because I remember being a go go kid, but we always sat down for a meal together.

  5. Oh my gosh, your neighbors have a very neat farm, it’s perfectly manicured and yet provides organic everything. What’s that little pond or pool of water? What a good person that Gary is, it’s nice to see someone giving back instead of taking for a change. Hey, I love our dining table, it has a lot of charms. It’s a classic and never goes out of style.

  6. I learned so much after my hysterectomy; I mean, I had no idea that estrogen did more than help with my female stuff. It really affects our cognitive part as well.

As far as the dining room table, let him know it costs less than a new motorcycle and you won’t be needing one of those. 😳😜
