Once the new floors are in, it will be time for new furniture. I’ve done some preliminary scouting of living room sets…
.

.
And my friends, being the helpful chums that they are, have been sending me pictures of possible replacement pieces.
.

.
Is it a bed?
A chair?
A table or an entertainment center?
Clearly it’s all of the above and I don’t want any of them.
.

.
Oh no, hell no.
I don’t want that either.
🤣
.
Ahhh, good friends are the best!

The all in one not for me either…looks stupid and impractical…but i will gladly take that chair 🤩

I believe she saw it a thrift store. Better be quick, it won’t last long.

Yeah i don’t need to drive from Pa just for THAT chair 😅

I like multi-purpose innovation, but that’s ridiculous!

It’s a tad much.

The sofa and loveseat look a lot like the furniture you already have which, if you like that look, makes it just right. I like the rug.

Yes, that’s a style we like and will probably stick with, though in a different color.

I like the paisley throw pillows, too. That’s the great thing about solid neutral colors; you can zhuzh them up any way you like.

This was just the floor sample, you can switch fabric and pillow patterns… which is a whole other nightmare of decisions.

I love that part.

That chair could last forever. No problem matching material on that one.

It’s already lasted longer than it should.

I’ve seen the combo one. That would be perfect for someone who lives in a Studio without cats. The chair is not to my taste either. Maybe If it was book themed.

For all the bed/chair/sofa haters, its a great combo if you see one in person. My ex neighbor in my old neighborhood had one and it’s actually very comfortable. Her husband bought it for her one year for her birthday and I loved it. Although you have to have a very large master for it to fit, and getting it into the house is a nightmare. The chair of many colors is a hard no, lol.

I’m a hater. I’ve seen them in person and just don’t like furniture combos, or even recliners for that matter. I don’t want a cup holder, a usb port or a pocket for the remote. I want my chair to pick a lane and stay there.

That chair certainly incorporates many colors. And yet, I wouldn’t describe it as colorful…if that makes any sense.

Sadly it does.
The chair of many colors… maybe Joseph will buy it.

Agreed. That chair looks like something out of Sanford and Son. As for the bed/couch/entertainment center, you’d need a mighty big bedroom to house that sucker (and you’re not supposed to watch TV in bed anyway…).

I don’t even like recliners, why would I ever want that monstrosity…

Those huge sofa things! What, they’re for people who recline 100% of the time they’re in the living room? Do you have to climb out? That is super entertaining to imagine getting into a house, even.

Bookcases, drawers, tables….
That damn thing will put furniture makers out of business.

I sent a photo to a friend recently of the ugliest sofa I’ve ever seen, a 70s velour thing that was orange leopard print and just a huge brick. I think these have out-uglied that one.

Orange velour leopard is hard to be beat…

That bed contraption immediately made me think of Willie Wonka….the bed-bound grandparents would have loved that setup!

I have a friend who has a similar couch/bed combo. She is so into hers, she posts love notes to it on Facebook, so clearly there’s a market.
I absolutely love the chair.
