.
After doing some preliminary furniture shopping with a girlfriend, I’d narrowed it down to a few possible living room sets which meant I had to bring the husband in for final approval.
As you may have guessed…. it did not go well.
.

.
This couch wasn’t deep enough.
.

.
This couch’s arms were too hard.
.

.
I thought I had a winner here…
.

.
There was an entire wall of fabric for me to choose from and miracle of all miracles?
.

.
Some of it was green.
.

.
But the husband burst my bubble of glee when, like Goldilocks…. he declared the cushions too soft.
The search continues.
🥴
.
Does this mean you got a free set of porridge bowls too ?

It’s SO hard!! It took me six months to decide on the recent couch for the condo and it took me 20 seconds to say I should’ve went with the Arhaus couch like we have at the big house. LOL! (It’s really fine, I’m not gonna lose sleep)
I do find that it’s better to make the decisions without a second butt to analyze it all. He would certainly NOT complain once it’s home. Right?

Oh, but he would. Loudly and often.

So to this point, GoldiHubs just isn’t happy with any of your choices. Does that mean you are going to keep searching?

We need new furniture.
I’ll find something he likes, even if it kills me…

You’re right, the way things are going I should probably sacrifice a goat or something…

I’m wondering if any furniture will pass “quality control” inspection? Perhaps there is a resistance to change seating at any cost? 🤔

Lumme! Could you persuade him to sit on the arms?

Now that’s a great idea.

Show him a real leather couch. You guys can afford one.

No…. I don’t want leather. Too hot in the summer and Lord Dudley has already scratched our leather club chairs in the man cave.

We’ve got 5 cats and a leather couch, with hardly a scratch on it (though plenty of claw holes). The cats all love sleeping on it. That was what I meant by “you can afford it.” The couch was over $2000 15 years ago. The leather was too thick to be scratched. It is the most comfortable couch either of us has ever sat on. And it actually feels cool in summer, (and cold in winter when you first sit on it, but it warms up qjickly).
But each to their own. Hope you find one that everyone, including Lord Dudley likes.

At this point price is the least of my worries.
