Six Baltimore Orioles stopping by for a brief time on their way to northern breeding grounds.
Put out oranges and grape jelly the first time you see one… then sit back and enjoy the bright orange show.

But where do you hang your laundry?!

In the dryer…

I can sell you a really top quality solar clothes dryer. Just $19.99. As long as you avoid one end, your clothes won’t be covered in bird poop.

What a deal.
And yes, we used to have a triple clothes line there but for some reason the birds were always landing on it and pooping so I gave up and made it a feeder pole.

They really are. Shame they’re only here for a few weeks.

Lovely. Our birds always seem rather dowdy by comparison. (Probably coz they have their raincoats on all year round. 😂)

Yes, but you have hedgehogs. 🦔
That more than makes up for bright feathers.

Oranges and grape jelly! I love that idea, wonder if cardinals or blue jays would go for it?

Ours don’t. Every once in a while a starling will try the jelly but they’re not fans. If I leave the oranges out overnight the raccoons take off with them though…

How is it that you came to know that Orioles love grape jelly and oranges? lol I’m just curious.

When they first showed up years ago I Googled what to feed them. They drink nectar like hummingbirds but I’ve found they prefer the oranges and jelly.
