More snow makes for pretty pictures I like to share with all my snowless southern and western friends.
.

.
The shrubbery wear hats.
.

.
And the edge of the driveway hump grows.
.

.
Critter paths are clearly visible.
.

.
And we have no idea who was romping on our deck. Those faded middle tracks are my husband’s, but clearly others followed suit.

.
A path to the man cave must be shoveled.
It’s where the beer lives…

I’m staring out at a similarly covered back yard. It’ll be gone in a week, though. They’re predicting temps in the 40s. Yikes. On that note, I’m writing to you from a “snow day” that’s actually due to extreme cold. This is our second one this year. This morning it feels like at least -35 F! No school for us!

This time next week we’re due to see high 30’s, today it will be 12 though the wind is crazy enough that it feels like -30.

It’s a cool 53 degrees where I’m at right now. And after taking cold showers for a week while we got our water heater replaced, I think I’ll just take the warmer weather. But it looks beautiful in your neck of the woods that’s for sure. Some critters are curious and dancing on your deck…lol

They’re pretty big tracks, makes me wonder…

Your driveway hump reminds me that, in my house growing up, we had a flat-roofed garage. After shoveling the driveway snow into a pile we would jump off the roof into the snowpile. Once it was well-compacted we would dig a snow cave.
The snow here is powdery fluff – one advantage to extreme cold. It might get above zero this afternoon.

” It’s where the beer lives” 😂
I too shovel the path to the side door of the garage because the backup fridge and freezer is in there and we have a quarter cow in frozen little packets I need to access occasionally for endless dinners they keep asking for.

Snow is so beautiful but always makes me sad 😢

Sad?
No, it shouldn’t. It’s a lovely white blanket…

What an adorable man cave. And, as a native Ohian, I’m happier looking at the pictures than experiencing the cold that comes with all that snow.

Screw the driveway. That path to the Beer Cave is the first thing I’d shovel! #priorities
