Are you tired of winter snow photos? If so, you have my permission to depart the pattern now…. because that’s all there is today.

No adult beverages on the deck last week I’m afraid.

The above is a rare deer track free shot of the backyard. Taken early in the morning, it didn’t last.

The wind has been killer this season. The above is a shot of my husband shoveling the driveway when it was 6 degrees with 53 mph gusts.
Yours truly stayed inside.

Driveway clearing after a storm is the Maine equivalent of the office water cooler. Everyone crawls out of their snowbound homes and chats.

.
And if you’re lucky, your neighbor cracks through the ice crusted snow your snowblower won’t with his tractor plow.
😊

You know I love these pics, partly because snow is no longer a thing for me. Those wind gusts, man oh man!!

Winds are whipping again today. They really have been crazy this winter.

And I thought we had it bad with 40 mph gusts. Geez.

We always have it a bit worse here due to the open nature of our property. Organic vegetable farm across the street, horse pastures on both sides. Nothing to block the wind.

Well, it’s only March 2nd, so there’s still time to go from our current brown grass to that. Here’s (kind of) hoping.

I second The Travel Architect. Nothing but ugly brown grass here. Big storm coming through this week…and it will be all rain.

We’re cold today, 12 degrees… but will be almost 50 on Wednesday.
Crazy.

Impressive amount of snow, inspiring even. February was gray and dingy here with dirty snow everywhere, not inspiring.

Almost like the old days. This week much more melting begins. Grackles, Red Winged Blackbirds and others have arrived I sure hope the hummers and orioles are still a month and a half away. I need to stock up 🙂

Our current temp is -5. No spring birds for us… yet.

Wowsa! That’s… a lot! Nice that the neighbors come out to chat and help each other out. ❤
