Lord Dudley Mountcatten is a fair weather cat. He doesn’t like heat, humidity, wind, rain, cold, fog or snow. Summer is too hot for backyard walkies, winter is too cold.
.

.
But fall? When the leaves are turning and the air is crisp and cool?
.

.
He’s totally down with that.
.

.
And gets so frisky he thinks he can climb trees.
.

.
Which he really can’t. Most of the time he just sits in them looking puzzled.
.

.
Oh, he tries.
.

.
But more often than not, he gets stuck.
.

.
And requires careful plucking from between the branches.
.

.
He’s awfully cute when he does it though.
😊

Very handsome cat! Makes me want one too. Almost makes me forget terrifying claws and sarcastic look.

Our boy is a lover not a scratcher. But yes, we get the looks.

I love Lord Dudley getting outside and embracing the Fall. And, it is good he has such a good handler to keep his Lordship from falling out of trees. Careful plucking is an art form all to itself.😊

I’m lucky he’s scared of heights.

We had one cat who would escape and immediately climb a tree. Then he would cry to be rescued (me on a ladder) and he would swat at me when I reached to pluck him. Oddly enough, I miss that boy.

They’re strange creatures, no doubt.

He probably wishes he wasn’t tethered

No doubt. But we’ve already lost one to the road, I don’t want to risk another

Best to keep as is in that case

Glad Lord Dudley stays within arm’s reach. I had to climb a telephone pole to rescue Boss Cat once–she’d hooked a claw on the telephone wire and was stuck. DO. NOT. RECOMMEND.

Among other things he seems to be scared of heights and thankfully stays down low.

Doggo occasionally attempts to climb a tree, but only when a cat, squirrel, or possum is in it.
Fortunately, Doggo is really bad at tree climbing.

Our Cat (may she rest in peace), did not climb trees. She would just sit for hours and wait for the branch to fall; that way, the tree came to her. Always the boss, she was.

Oh, how Laverne and Shirley would love to go outside!
Oh, how Laverne and Shirley would hate to be leashed!
Which explains why they are strictly indoor cats.

I thought His Lordship would hate it, but after a few times he got used to the harness and likes it now.
