.
We’ve had a banner crop of grey squirrels this year.
.

.
I know people hate them because they eat the bird seed, but I love watching their acrobatics.
,

.
And they can shimmy up a pole faster than any stripper.
.

.
Our guys are well fed.
.

.
And don’t even bother burying anything for winter.
.

.
😊

All of our seed is on the ground. I kinda miss seeing them go after hanging feeders. So cool.

I like squirrels just as much as I do birds!!! All the wild things have to eat, don’t they!!!

If you love them that much, I’ve got a yard full I’d be happy to send your way!

As long as they’re not red….

Our local squirrels do not believe in crosswalks, so I am always concerned about their habit of never looking both ways before crossing the streets. That being said, we have seen no incidents so far this Fall. They’ve been very busy recently. I don’t know if they know what they’re doing, but as long as they think they are being productive that’s all that matters.

Winters are long. They don’t want to be hungry…

Then they are in good shape here. I see at least one a day “working” in our yard, and evidence of nut-cracking is plentiful.

As long as you’re not trying to grow fruit trees or have a vegetable garden, squirrels can be entertaining. My hubby has become quite the expert on squirrel behavior.

They eat our crabapples, which we don’t… but leave the big apples and blueberries we like alone.

They are fun to watch, but I thought you despised them. Maybe just the red ones? If so, there’s a name for that…

The greys are harmless, the reds are literal home wreckers. Very destructive.
