As I crossed over the new bridge to Brunswick…

X marked the spot.

For what, I have no idea.
.

.
Not only was I unaware of the slang… I was unaware there’s a Generation Z.
Yay me.

What the utter hell is that…
And why would you want one?

A friend recommended this book to me last year but knowing it would trigger some painful memories, I put off reading it until now. Written by a hospice nurse about her strange experiences with death, it put me right back in the room when my mother passed. Some things can’t be explained… but they do happen, I witnessed that first hand. And after reading this book I realized what I thought was astounding is pretty commonplace. Which blew my mind all over again.

Yes, the squirrels at Casa River are well fed.

Very well fed.

Before clicking on your post to read, it was the rather plumpy looking squirrel and I thought, you can it’s fed well. No wonder your outside diner is popular with the wildlife that visit you.

GenX with kids are raising GenZ. That would be my two.
Tried to ask my GenZ daughter about the slang. She got pissed off and told me to go away. 😵💫
GenZ in a nutshell. 😀

“Cope & Seethe” is one I hadn’t heard that makes perfect sense. My personal favorite is “Ohio” which means something sucks.

But this is actually more Gen Alpha (2012-24ish) slang than Gen Z (2000-2012). Gen Z, BTW, thinks Gen A’s slang is ludicrous, which I find hilarious.

I once had a student tell me “I was the bomb” when I arranged for all of the reading class to walk over to McDonalds for lunch. Doesn’t happen anymore and for a reason, but that really threw me a loop. Urban and as for the kids I later taught in Juvenile Detention, I am not sure I want to know their urban dictionary but I sure did hear some things I never need to know again. That being said, I am so happy it is beautiful weather out there! A well fed squirrel-I can never see them going on a diet!

Just so you know my millennial boys are bothered by GenZ’s and their stupid slang words. And I wonder if that body bag comes in Sasquatch size, asking for a friend…🤣

ya know body bags like that appeal to people into being dominated or your average ordinary serial killer

I’m with you. I did not know one of those slang words and I’m not keeping up with the alphabet’s generations.

Did you know there’s also a Generation Alpha? It’s something like current newborns to early teens. A LA Times article I read about them did not have nice things to say about that group.
As for the slang, I can appreciate “beige flag,” but will not use it. The rest are dumb.
