.
Warm then cold.
Rain, then snow.
Ice, then mud.
It’s March in Maine… anything can happen.
.

.
Including hail.
.

.
Which we had a ripping bout of recently.
.

.
Out of nowhere… bam!
.
.
Why my husband felt the need to rescue the bird feeders while getting pelted, I have no idea.
🤣
And if that wasn’t bad enough, as soon as we had a snow free lawn and driveway?
This happened on Sunday.
.
.
Oh March… thou art a fickle b*tch.
But it does make for interesting, highly technical local weather forecasts.
.

.
On Monday they called for….
Snizzle?
🤣
.
I’m more concerned about the suck spots.
(That font is not great.)

Suck spots can be dangerous. No doubt.

Snizzle Cloudy Flakes sounds like a new breakfast cereal doesn’t it?

Snizzle sounds like a type of post nasal drip to me.
Not a good cereal flavor.
Nope.

Snizzle is a new one! I’m surprised by all your random weather! We drove to Flagstaff, a two hour drive away, for our anniversary a few ago. That’s in mid July. We got in a hail storm where we had zero visibility driving through a mountain pass. Our car was dented from chrome bumper to chrome bumper and everything in between. The hail was the size of golf balls. The insurance adjusters came from out of state where that is common. Scariest drive of my life.

This was small, but I’ve been in large ones… it’s bizarrely frightening.
We visited Flagstaff often when we vacationed in Sedona. Such a different topography.

I think Snoop Dog invented the term “snizzle”.

Does he do the weather now?
What a talented guy…

I hope the meteorologist led off by saying, “The forecast calls fo snizzle.”

He did not.
Which was very disappointing…

Pretty sure snizzle is the same as flurries. These guys will do anything for ratings…even coin new words!

It’s a mixture of snow and rainy drizzle.

Yes, my understanding of the word as well.

They could have just said something like “freezing rain,” but where’s the fun in that?

Not nearly as amusing.
