Our snow has melted but I had these kicking around the photo files and thought I’d share.

Squirrelly sentries.

I know there are people who dislike them, but we welcome our harmless grays.

They’re acrobatic and quite entertaining.

I think Vero said it best. Well-trained. Sometimes our squirrels chase away the birds at the feeder to eat their food but then again, we have a few cats who love our yard and sit on the boardwalk eyeing the squirrels. The food chain. We do seem to have well-trained frogs this year as they only begin their song early morning waking us up or evening to let us know rain is on the way today!

It will be a while before we hear the peepers. They’re calling for 6 inches of snow in western Maine this week.

Well, stay frosty! I am looking forward to the rain as we just planted. Sunflowers and mints are thirsty!

Squirrels are just aquirrels no matter their colour. But my sister has a story of why she hates greys. I won’t tell it unless I am asked.

And I dislike reds due to their destructive nature.

Look at those portly bastards. Grown large on the food you left out for the other critters.
How can you betray the other animals like that, tolerating the gray bandits?
How?!

All are welcome here.
It’s an equal opportunity buffet…

Gorgeous pics. I should let the word get out to the squirrels in my yard that there’s a free buffet a few states to the east.

A long walk, but probably worth it.

They’ll just have to set out when they’re bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!
