While winter may not possess the gentle pastels of spring, the bright greens of summer or the glorious burning of autumn….
It does have it’s own unique color.
These pictures were taken out my winter windows.
And to me……
A Mainer….
They’re just as beautiful as any blooming garden.
Of course I say that from inside the nice warm house….
Not braving the elements like this little guy.
Right hand cold…
Left hand cold…
To hell with this…
Both hands cold.
Looks like he’s waiting for his hot chocolate with acorns he ordered to help keep his nuts warm. If only someone would bring it to the poor little guy….

Beautiful colors. I love the colors of winter too. Some you cannot get in the other seasons even here in the frozen tundra…AKA Wisconsin

It might be all the white that makes a better contrast, but it’s lovely whatever the reason.

Poor things, huddled against the cold. Makes me want to bring them all inside… or at the very least knit them a sweater.

Thanks. They always seem a bit prettier when I’m not shivering in the bitter cold wind!
