Really, they can.
For example…. is it me?
Or is Paul Revere a dead ringer for Jack Black?
See?
Fun!
America looked a little different in the 1700’s.
Back when this fellow was in charge.
And who knew ole Ben was a songwriter?
Not exactly top 40 material, but hey… he had other things on his mind.
We spent hours exploring…..
And were very impressed.
They brought history to life.
And there was even a little Revolutionary Name That Crap!
Can you guess?
And how about…..
Can you guess?
One more.
This was rusty so you know the husband loved it.
We learned a lot… and I won’t bore you with it all.
But it was a fascinating place.
Filled with fascinating things.
Admit it, you started humming Yankee Doodle Dandy when you saw that drum.
They even had shoes!
How great is that?
The ice shoes I would have gotten right – at least. LoL

They look rather cumbersome for strolling.

Compared to “now-a-days” sure, …but yester-year? The technology was right – for that time period. 😉

I love the museums. Back when I was married and childless, the wife and I would take a week or two and just see what museums were in a town or city…

It’s our winter itinerary when we travel. Never met a museum I didn’t like!

This looks like a great museum. I cannot imagine not thinking it was fun, but then I’m a nerdy sort.

If you recall a few years back he was stopped by a female officer and called her something close to sugar nippers.

Definitely the wrong post!
Although if there’s a museum for that, I’ll probably find that too.

Well that explains why they call football fields, the gridiron. Those shoes look like they could be worn today, not by me of course but Baby Kermit seems to have a pair almost like them. How interesting, and yes, Mr. Revere does seem to have a resemblance to Jack Black.

So Baby Kermit is just slightly… like 225 years… behind the fashion trend?

Yeah…pretty much. And she thinks she’s still like twenty-something because she has ridiculously long hair. Like below her bum, and all one length, no shape or style. It just hangs there….

Paul Revere has to be related to Jack Black, for sure.

That looks like the sort of museum that would make sure you know Benjamin Franklin wrote an essay called “Fart Proudly”. Ol’ Ben really was quite a character.
Although now I can’t get the Paul Revere/Black Jack comparison out of my head and I imagine him singing something for the British after he was captured.

We should contact Black. There’s a movie in there somewhere….

I love museums. I guessed right on two of the things. Sugar Nippers??? Nope. I thought they might be a dentist’s instrument.

I literally remember the snow shoes from the museum, at first thinking they were like the ones worn to keep skirts clean.
My grandparents had a gridiron – on occasion, they used it for fresh fish. My grandmother would wrap the fish in metal screen and staple it, then put it in the gridiron. I had no idea about the sugar, thank you.
YES, he did resemble Jack Black! I see it plain as day!
