.
The husband came home with a new toy last weekend.
.

.
And before I knew it or could grab a good before picture…
.

.
He’d trimmed an unruly hedge.
.

.
And moved on to the next.
.

.
These bushes can get out of hand quickly, and I trim them every fall. The husband always gave me Hell for bringing the trimmer in the office and cutting from an open window, but it was the only way I could reach. He ranted about how dangerous it was, how much of a mess it made…. and for years on end told me it wasn’t necessary.
You know where I’m going with this right?
.

.
Yes.
.

.
Once again I was proved right.
.
.
And trimming through the open office window commenced.
.

.
But the shrubbery was nicely shaped so I didn’t rub it in.
Well, not much.

Just be glad he stopped at the bushes in front of the house. “Other” hedge trimming would definitely be dangerous!

He didn’t…. but that particular hedge was off limits to power tools.
🤣

Trimming the hedges from inside with a power tool would seem to be more dangerous than using manual clippers if he gets too close to the window frame. Still it’s good those hedges are going from unruly to ruly.

A couple of years ago I treated myself to a little device that could be used as both a weed trimmer and a hedge trimmer, depending on what attachment was on the pole. Battery powered, light weight, perfect for a senior like me. I never got to use it because hubby grabbed it and put it in the garage so he could use it instead of an electric or gas-powered weed whacker. Now I’m back to trimming the front bushes with manual clippers like I always did. Fortunately, our bushes aren’t as large as yours so it’s not too big a job.

I had nice small corded trimmer. It was light and easy to use… so naturally he took it to the dump.
