Fall.
Autumn in New England.
Cooler temps, brightly colored leaves, pumpkins and yes…

An abundance of apples from our trees which means….

It’s time to bake.

Apple fritter bread.
So damned good.

‘Apple fritter bread. So damned good’ Sorry, I won’t take your word for it–you have to send me a loaf so I can decide if what you say is the truth!!

Apples, apples everywhere….I love it. I just found I have a pear tree in my back yard. Yes just found because when I moved in it didn’t have any fruit so I assumed it was just a tree. Now I’m going to try and take care of it so it will bear fruit 🍐.

We have a pear as well but the variety is hard as a rock and only good for canning, which I don’t do.

You can’t offer up a cake without a recipe! Looks yum. Although I have never heard of fritter bread.

It’s basically apple bread, but you layer the apples and dough instead of mixing.
