Reason, thy name is cat.

.

There are many reasons I choose to blog from my iPhone instead of my computer.

#1. Since we live in rural Maine… land of slow as molasses internet service… it’s quicker.

#2. It’s portable, I can blog wherever I want and don’t need to be stuck behind my desk.

#3. I take most of my pictures with my phone so it’s easier to plop them in posts.

But the 4th and most important reason I rarely blog from my computer?

.

.

Lord Dudley Mountcatten, who sees no earthly reason why he shouldn’t sit right in front of the screen two seconds after I turn it on.

.

.

Attention must be paid.

  1. Your desk is way neater than mine. Otto couldn’t find a place to sit on mine. This doesn’t stop him from walking on my keyboard while he’s looking for one. Archie and Betty? Not an issue.
I just bought an old man keyboard to accommodate my clumsy shaky fingers. No way in Hell I could type a blog post on my phone. No worries, I’m not jealous because you can.

    1. I hate clutter, especially on a desk… which is tough living with my husband. He’s constantly covering it with crap. I love blogging on my phone, it’s one of the reasons I’m here so often.

  2. All my cats are different. One likes to lay on the keyboard. One loves to type. Another has learned to walk on the edges, hitting only space bars and function keys. One tries to sit on the flat screen. One loves to sit in front of the screen. The last one ignores the computer altogether. Her vice is sitting on my head.

      1. Lord Dudley really needs a friend. Even though you and/or hubby are home most of the time, he needs someone to play with. Best to be a young cat, under 6 months, that Lord Dudley can teach things to. Being a big brother is a good thing to be.

      2. We’ve always had a houseful, this is the first time with a single pet. But we still plan on retirement travel someday…. And I know how hard it is to find caregivers.

      3. Yes, we have discussed this before. Since we moved to the boonies we need catsitters just to go to see medical specialists, forget about vacations. And living in the boonies, catsitters all move away. We don’t have one right now, and we have some mefical ttips on the horizon. Ehat we are hoing to do we do not know. We cannot afford to put 6 cats into a cat motel at $200 a day, with daily medical needs extra. But for all that, no cat likes to be a lone cat, unless they are truly selfish. And even the most selfish cat has trouble resisting a baby that needs tutoring. But, I just said what I did because I was looking from Lord Dudley’s viewpoint. Human friends are okay, but cat friends are better.

  3. My youngest kittens feel compelled to walk across my hands and the keyboard, and bat at the monitor and chords. If I set up at the home workstation, they also climb the window screens. They’re the reason I keep going to the office

  4. I don’t even like responding to comments on my phone. I can’t imagine posting an entire blog entry on one.

Then again, my typical blog entry is probably equivalent to six of yours. Give or take.
