A Walk of Shame with appetizers. Crab cakes for me, lemongrass ginger mussels for the husband.

White Lemonade Sangria with a chicken Caesar salad for me, sherry baked haddock for my other half. It was a wonderful meal in a pleasant spot made even better by the friendly couple we met at the bar.

They were visiting from Wisconsin for a college graduation so we happily gave them some local destination suggestions. Turns out they run a pub of their own in Wisconsin with the same town name as one in Maine.

Well finally a meal worth bragging about, it’s all looks wonderful. I envy you having access to great seafood, I love mussels too but I rarely get to have them. Since you know, I’m landlocked and the mussels I see are flabby ones at the Albertsons…..🙄.

I hear that right down the road from the Boathouse Hotel and Marina is the Flophouse Hotel and Cantina. You might want to check that out next time you’re in Kennebunkport.

Small world! I’ve been to Presque Isle several times, though always as a child. We had a ski cabin a stone’s throw from there. If it weren’t a 5-hour drive to a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, I’d go and say hi.
