We feed birds.
We feed grosbeaks and orioles. Finches and chickadees. Nuthatches and woodpeckers. Cardinals and mourning doves.
We feed a wide variety of birds.
This however, was a first.

One lone seagull.

Who dropped in to nosh on the deer grain.

Proof positive you never know who’ll show up at Casa River.

Wow…..all them birds are spreading the word about the bountiful buffet at Casa River.

I’m holding out for the flamingoes… or perhaps an ostrich. Now that would be blog worthy.

That bird has a lot of gull to “nosh on the deer grain”….it’s a good thing Lord Dudley wasn’t around, or Mr(s) Gull would’ve flown the kite (or would Lord Dudley have turned tail and run for cover?).

You can have our bluejays and magpies. They are both greedy bullies.

We have bluejays but no magpies.

Magpies are big and actually cute, but they don’t share well, even with each other. Mating couples are the exception, I think.
