Our chuckers are social eaters. They happily munch alongside deer, skunks and raccoons.

And yes, wild turkeys as well.

Until said turkey gets a little too friendly.

Just lucky. But then again… there’s always someone out there doing something so the odds are with me. At 9:30 last night? A skunk brawl. They were screeching like crazy but it was too dark for a picture.

OMG a skunk brawl? How do you know they were skunks and not……baby bigfoot(s), or that Rake everyone keeps talking about?

I know the sound. But I also flipped on the light and watched them. So funny.

Well there you go. Who among us would not be upset when pecked by a turkey?

It would certainly ruin my day.

I I were that turkey, I wouldn’t peck —
The chucker might grab me by the neck,
And then it would be just my luck
To be wrung like a rag by that chuck.

That turkey should mind his P and Q’s,
Or the fight with a chuck he’ll surely lose.
