And then I put down a bowl of leftover milk with a few soggy Rice Krispies in front of His Lordship and watched him freeze in fear.

He was having no part of it and ran under the bed shortly after I snapped the picture.
Cats are weird.

Oh hell yes cats are weird, it’s hilarious the things they are afraid of. His Lordship is afraid of a bowl of cereal, lol. Charlie happens to be afraid of a stuffed toy of a Peeps Chocolate Bunny my son gave me for Easter last year. I keep it on my bed to ensure he doesn’t get on it while I’m at work. Cat’s, this is why they can never rule the world…lmao.

Citrus fruits such as tangerines and oranges have a very strong scent which can repel cat’s sensitive noses. No explanation for the cereal, though – unless the snap, crackle, and pop frightened him?

I was told cats are afraid of English cucumbers because they look like snakes, so I tested the theory. None of the cats I live with were afraid, though one tried to tear it to shreds. A real snake would have been scared of her.
Cats may be weird to us, but think of how weird we are to them. This is a two-way street. The cats who own us are often questioning the things we do, but they don’t laugh at us, they just accept and move on. Whose is the superior race? No contest, it is cats.

Cats are fascinating indeed. You never know what’s going on in their minds. That being said, they almost always “run the show” in the household. It’s their world and we’re just invited to attend.
