It was bound to happen. Momma woodchuck found a safe home under our barn and she’s going to raise all her children there from now on.
Yesterday I spotted the first baby nibbler.

.
I know they eat all my flowers, but damn it. They’re so stinking cute!
.

.
There are four children this year and they’re just starting to venture out in the open.
.

.
As long as mom is around that is.
.

.
My garden is doomed.

Cuteness always wins out…

Grow some Psilocybin in your garden. The woodchucks will still eat it but the entertainment once the hallucinations kick in will be PRICELESS.

Perhaps. But the munchies they’d have afterward would spell disaster for my gardens….

Do shrooms give you the munchies? I’ve had that experience with weed but never anything else. My guess would be that they would be fascinated by the color and movement. Do woodchucks laugh? I would think there would be some of that as well. I’m sure we will all be kept well informed.

It’s the price I pay fur cuteness.

They certainly are cute. Do they eat anything other than your flowers? Are there some they won’t eat? Like maybe Marigolds? I know the deer avoid those because of the smell.

I have a whole bed of marigolds planted in hopes they won’t. Time will tell….
