.
The baby chucks are growing and feeling their oats.
.

.
Feeding time at the backyard buffet sees it’s fair share of squabbles these days.
.
.
Carrots and apples are clearly worth fighting for.
.

.
The little devils may wreak havoc in my flower beds… but I have to admit they’re fun to watch.
.

.
Case in point…. the husband keeps his old garden cart in our woodshed.
.

.
And the other day when I was out back weeding, I heard noises coming from that direction.
.
.
Chucks.
They’re everywhere.
P. S. … did you notice my fabulous astilbe, aka false goat’s beard?
.

.
It doesn’t look like a goat, but it sure loved all those dark rainy days.
.

.
Ohh, nice! Rain sure made that goats beard grow fast I think. Baby chucks are so cute, until they become teenagers, lol.

It appears the species doesn’t matter – siblings will be siblings.

The rain sure made that flower happy. I take it the chuck don’t like it.

Love those chucks! And your astilbe 😍. I planted 3 this spring and I hope they get to be as beautiful as yours!

This one has been there for about 4 years. Had small blooms before but it really liked all that rain…

Now I’m curious what a REAL goat’s beard looks like.

That’s practically calm compared to how squirrels act when there’s more than one in the presence of food, which is more like a UFC match…
