.
I saw this on FB the other day and had to share because it’s so….. me.
.

.
It’s probably not a good idea, the little devils are tunnelers and chewers, but you know if I did adopt one of our backyard crew…
.

.
I would totally give him a bath.
.

.
This is simply off the charts cute.
.

.
And now I totally want to do it!
.

.
❤️
.
I support this very bad wish!

I’m always tempted to grab one of the little guys in the spring, but I force myself not to.

I’m glad skunks spray – otherwise I’d have a bunch!

It used to be legal to adopt skunks and descent them here, but not anymore. They do make great pets. Very lovable and they use a litter box!

Have fun if you try, but I’m not so sure Hubsy would like you trying!

I showed him the pics, he didn’t say no.

I want this, too. The bunny already chews so what’s a little more woodwork damage?

That’s one reason I don’t do it. Those teeth…

We had to trap and relocate one once (we named him Gerald). If there hadn’t been a sturdy wire cage between us, there may have been some biting. Understandably, Gerald wasn’t too happy with us.

I may, or may not have, thrown my phone down a bit at the cuteness!!! Holy groundhog! Me too! I would do the same thing~and get bit, and then some kind of weird infection that would “grow” my cancer, then my 80 year old parents would say, “See? See? This is what we’ve been telling you over 50 years!” Ugh. The love of critters is real!!

This was actually I took stills from… the little guy loved it and turned around by himself waiting to be scrubbed. Too cute!!

On Groundhog Day
You could give him a treat:
A bubble bath to bathe in
And chocolates to eat.

No chocolate. Carrots and broccoli are their faves.

This is what fantasies should be about. We all have a desire to pat, cuddle, wash, brush, dress up, push around in little prams, put into little beds with pillows and tuck them in and what not, but most of us know we shouldn’t. I always panic when I see these things as I worry the furry people involved are living in some tiny apartment in a smog filled city somewhere never to scurry around in nature, much less see another of their own kind. Sorry to be a buzz kill. You can get back to fantasies of feeding carrot sticks and watching fluttering whiskernibbles.

Yes, I agree. As cute as it is…. it’s just a fantasy. I’d never forcibly adopt a wild animal. Much as I’d like to.

With every baby bunny my better half jokes (I hope) about bringing it inside. The chucks really are adorable.

I did have a pet bunny as a teenager. It chewed through all my electric cords.

Yes, that groundhog looks really happy at being bathed in the bathroom sink, lol.

I’m not one to judge, seeing as how I’ve always wanted a pet raccoon.

My husband had one when he was a teenager. I have a picture…. somewhere.

His mother used to take it with her to the country grocery store. It rode in the cart. Wish I had a picture of that!
