This is what $150 worth of handmade gourmet candy looks like. We thought it would be a nice way to say thank you to the nursing and surgical staff for being so kind to an antsy (and sometimes unintentionally violent) patient.
*Note- I wanted to give them a healthy and attractive Edible Arrangement filled with fruit… but the damn stores have closed up shop and left the state of Maine.

Yes. Last week was an awful heat wave, temps in the 90’s with high humidity. Scattered showers this week, still humid but it’s supposed to break today.

I like the jam sign. The thank you basket you got looks better to me than the edible arrangement ones. Those kind of creep me out, look like Frankenstein fruit.

As long as they exercise moderation they’ll be fine, I’m sure. Plus, they’ll be able to take more than fifteen minutes to eat it before the pool of sticky juice shows up. Whether you had a choice or not, you made the right one.

Even though I’m also a cat mom, I’m like you and say no to that wonderfully engineered table. Wow, that’s one huge gift basket, but I suppose it’s justified because you know, who the patient is, lol. I hope he is doing better as the days go by.

Player’s cigarettes in Canada had the slogan “It’s the tobacco that counts” written on every package. There were a lot of bad jokes about counting! (I quit cold turkey 40 years sgo. Never had s problem staying away from the things. Best to not ever start.)

I smoked a little bit in my teenage years. Nothing heavy, quit at 20 when I married my husband. He’s always hated it.
