As a bread lover, this is a tough one for me. I’ve enjoyed cheddar bay biscuits and breadsticks, but the quality isn’t always consistent. CB’s biscuits used to be divine but have shrunken to almost elvish proportions over the years. And while the rustic brown loaves are tasty…
I think I’m going to have to say Texas Roadhouse yeast rolls for the win. They’re always fresh and the accompanying honey butter sends these over the top on my yum-o-meter. Ironically, I don’t care for the cocktails or the food at that restaurant so we rarely if ever go…. but I fondly remember the doughy goodness.

I’ve been to C, E, F, and I more than once. I think I went to G once. Believe it or not, Olive Garden has long been my post-surgical go-to. After various day surgeries over the years, I’m starving from all the fasting I’ve had to do. The nurses always warn me to eat just broth for a couple of days, but I always make the Husband drive me directly to Olive Garden for salad, breadsticks, and spaghetti and meatballs. Still, the winner for me is Buca because I can get my beloved eggplant parmagiana there. I’m always amazed that so many Italian restaurants don’t serve it, but then I remember what a pain in the butt it is to make, That’s probably why. Plus, I think a lot of people either don’t like eggplant, or assume they won’t like eggplant, so it’s probably not a big seller.

I like eggplant parmigiana, you know… when it’s breaded, fried, covered in sauce and cheese so it’s basically unrecognizable.
Never even heard of that Buca chain though…

I am totally unqualified to play today. I think I went to the Olive Garden with my mom 20-30 years ago. I’ve never been to any of the others. There are enough locally-owned restaurants here to keep me occupied and, when I travel, I want to try the local places there.

We lived down south for almost 2 decades, in a military city where 99% of the restaurants are chains. I got my fill of them.

Can’t help ya – I’ve only ever eaten at Outback – and the last time was 12 years ago. (I did enjoy the comments about eggplant. One of the few vegetables my husband liked.)

D I guess. I’m not a fan of any of these restaurants so I’m remembering from memory. I had the most fun with the people I had lunch with at The Cheesecake Factory so D it is.

I’m going to go with G, Texas Roadhouse. Not because I live in Texas and there seems to be one on every corner, but because these are the closest to the best yeast rolls I’ve had. The number one pick is local restaurant, called Great American Steak House and their yeast rolls are DIVINE! Also with honey butter and they come with every meal, unlimited baskets of yeast rolls. I like Red Lobsters cheddar bay biscuits too, they come in a close third.

Never ate at C or D, been a real long time since I ate any of others but I’ll go with E. By far the best thing at Red Lobster and its free too

The Cheesecake Factory brown bread is good, but I have never tried Texas Roadhouse. Olive Garden only wins if you order some Alfredo sauce on the side and dip the breadsticks in it.

I have eaten at all of them, and I have to go with Buca di Peppo (C). Especially if you have it with their baked gnocchi and parmesan! Holy shit you just made me hungry!

Well, few of ghose restaurants exist in Csnada, and fewer than that have ever gotten my custom. So I’ll suggest an American-based chain whose bread I have enjoyed “endlessly” — Eastside Mario’s Eatery. But I will lean towards JT’s option and go for a light Ukraimian Rye. Enjoy.

We went to Cracker Barrel when we took our daughter to a national swim meet in Greensboro, NC. That was such an adventure for us Californians, so I’l say biscuits for the win.

I’ve only ever had D and F, but I is looking good. My top choice would be the french bread rolls from an Italian place in Fullerton, Angelo & Vinci’s. Darn, teh interwebs says I need to stop dreaming of their food cause it’s perm closed. 😥

I’m choosing E! I lovevRed Lobster and not just for their Biscuits. I enjoy some Seafood and their Shrimp and CrabCakes are delicious.

Toss-up between Red Lobster and Olive Garden because the only ones I’ve tried on this list were Red Lobster and Olive Garden. They each have their merits.
