If you’re a squirrel on our property, you may feel like you’re being watched.

And if it’s not me with a camera?

It’s His Lordship.

.

.

Who keeps a close eye on the visitors.

.

.

May it rest in peace.

I loved MTV back in the day and spent many happy hours singing along with videos as I ironed my husband’s Marine Corps uniforms.

The end of an era, that.

.

I always know when the bird feeders are running low.

.

.

The avian protesters are noisy.

.

.

Yes.

That’s why I do it.

Husband photographing a sunrise.

Lord Dudley Mountcatten wondering why.

.

.

Damn it.

Now I’m going to have start counting corn.

  1. Bread is still used as a dish: at the Minnesota Renaissance festival, it’s a bowl for beer-cheese soup! Good ideas never die.
MTV is dead?!?! I had no idea! A definitive part of my childhood, that’s for sure.
I have so many corks at home – I should try that birdhouse!

  2. Yes, I agree we need to save every bird we can! SAVE THE BIRDS! I knew about the garlic, which is convenient because I love the stuff. His Lordship questions why humans pay attention to sunsets instead of him, he is not pleased.

  3. Do the birds sit on the chair out on the birdhouse porch? Of course apples float. Bobbing for apples wouldn’t work if they didn’t. As for egg yolks, that’s why they feed marigolds to laying hens – it makes the yolks brighter. And I don’t know why the fact monger thinks bread hasn’t been used as a plate for the past several hundred years.

  4. I love the shot of His Lordship watching that photography taking place. Two great shots to love there, to be exact. The birds of the world have nothing to wine about if that campaign takes flight.

  5. MTV was such a big part of my teen years, but it’s not been the same for the last 20 years or so. Generations after us missed out!

Gorgeous sunrise, I’d take a pic of it too.
