.
Our backyard visitors occasionally drop by our kitchen porch because it’s covered… and it offers a sheltered respite from the winter wind.
They also leave their calling cards.

Bird tracks.

Mammal tracks.

And look!
Godzilla dropped by as well…

I love it when we see big prints in the snow and wonder who might be responsible.

The biggest we’ve ever seen is bear tracks. On our back deck, and in a complete circle around our house.
Never saw the bear though..

Sounds like a good mystery novel worth solving.

If I have to start feeding Godzilla out back, it’s going to get expensive….

I think that last one is the start of bird tracks, but then the hawk swooped down and carried it off.

Or Godzilla got them…

I wish I had gotten a picture of the footprints left in our backyard after one dusting of snow a few weeks ago. They were huge, and just didn’t compute with any of the locals who cross paths with us…human or otherwise. My CSI skills could not ascertain what might have visited, but we’re on the lookout.👀(That definitely was a baby Godzilla you had…)
