Yes, there are still bare wires sprouting from our wall because the husband and I can’t agree on a choice of new sconces.
.

.
I really liked this one…
.

.
But it’s almost 13 inches wide and wouldn’t fit. .
.

.
Please note blogger Brian Lageose’s hilarious book Peppered Fruit to the right, nestled above Stephen King.
I got you brother.
.

.
I thought this mission light fixture would work…
.

.
Since our hutch…
.

.
And front door are the same style…. but the husband hated it.
.

.
The husband liked this one, but it looked too much like a library reading lamp to me.
.

.
So we ordered this one.
.

.
Which can be mounted either way.
.

.
And these.
For two totally different feels, and will return whichever pair doesn’t work.
Or both if we hate them equally and will curse all the brick and mortar light fixture stores that closed in our area for forcing me to shop online where I can’t gauge quality.
🥴
.
My favorite is the one your hubby hated!

That would gave blended well, so of course we couldn’t have that….

Same. I like that one too as well as second photo from the bottom where you can have it either way. But I really like the one you like.

I tried repeatedly, but he really hates that one.

I am really drawn to that one. I hope you convince your husband that you really like that one. If you still end up feeling the same after looking at the others.

He usually just lets me do what I want and doesn’t say anything, but he really dislikes that one for some reason.

Hopefully you will both find something.

Careful!
Marital conflicts over sconces can lead to other conflicts, including those about wainscotting…

We survived new floors, doors and furniture.
A mere sconce will not break us…

I’m not crazy about your bottom choice. I like the one above it… Looking forward to seeing what you both chose!

Honestly, I’m not either.
With the size constraints it’s been a challenge.

I loved the one your husband didn’t like, lol.

It would have been so easy.
So naturally he didn’t want it…

The joy of shopping online. I have returned more dresses and shoes than I have kept. And those I kept were kept grudgingly since I was tired of returning.

You can’t judge quality or correct color on line. I’m a tactile shopper and the few brick and mortar stores we’ve found have limited selection.
Grr.

Second one from the bottom, but I can’t decide if I like it better up or down. Not the my opinion matters. Not the one with the shade.

I like that one both ways, but feel it looks more like an outdoor light with the shade pointing down…

I like the second from the bottom one (I think) – it looks a bit bulky but then I’ve never had wall scones so I don’t quite know the point of them (ambient light?). But I am a raging minimalist.

They were there when we bought the house, so unless I want to redo the entire wall… which I don’t.. they need replacing. And these are extremely useless since the light switch is buried behind my books and never turned on.
