I don’t usually recommend products on my blog but every once in a while I find something so good it has to be shared.

I’d seen these advertised online but never paid much attention. Then they showed up at my local grocery store and I gave them a whirl. They’re called Buttermints but they’re not the old chalky kind restaurants used to let you spoon out of a dish upon exiting, no. These are luscious, creamy, chock full of flavor little nuggets of pure bliss. Yes, they’re pricey… but rich enough so you only need one at a time.

Notice I said need. If you can stop at one? You’re a far better person than I.

I’d never owned a white car before the new Subaru I bought last year but I have to say I’m enjoying it. You’d think it would show the dirt more than the darker colors, but you’d be wrong. I wash this pearl white Forester far less than my previous black.

  6. I’m not sure those car color choices are “consumer preferences”. They are what is available. When I bought my van I had a choice of white or white. My friend could get silver or silver a year earlier. I even tried to order one in green once years ago – they sent grey instead.

      1. I asked if they’d give me a discount since it was their mistake. They said no. They’d just put the car on the lot and someone else would buy it that day. It was a time that there were few available and you usually had to order in advance.

  7. A couple days ago, I saw a car that was white with purple/blue-based holographic undertones. I was thrilled because I originally saw & upvoted that color during car preference surveys about 30 years ago.

    Gonna look for the mints now!

  9. We bought a pearl white car last year too. I was driving my husband to an appointment this past week (like every single day). Our road is under construction and we had to wait for the pilot car to lead us. All the cars stopped and waiting in line were white. I asked my husband, “Was there a sale on white paint?”

    1. Since I never had a white car before I didn’t pay much attention to the popularity. But last week I came out of a store and walked to the wrong vehicle because the parking lot was full of them.
      Paint sale for sure.

    I regret not buying a white car, as that is what we normally have. I currently have a royal blue, and while it’s lovely, it shows every speck of dust!
