They watch mom sit up and eat so they try to mimic her stance.

One little fellow holds his broccoli too high…

Which throws him off balance.

His brother says to hell with that and just sits.

But baby number one is determined.

You know what? I think my neighborhood needs some woodchucks. They’d compliment the crows nicely and put the fear of God into the squirrels.

Whether sitting or standing, at least they eat their veggies. Broccoli came up in my classroom one day this past school year. It was quite the divisive topic among my 2nd grade students: they either loved it or hated it. (I was just glad some of them loved it, and of course I modeled loving it, which was easy because I actually do.)
