,
Starting your week off right.
One Monday at a time.
.

.
Moving is the only acceptable answer.
.

.
In case you were wondering.
.

.
180 cases in 88 years isn’t too bad.
Unless it’s your brain that is.
.

.
Whaaaaaat?
.

.
That thing would wreak havoc on the subway.
.

.
Aside from the mimosas, this won’t bother me a bit.
.

.
Leave it to Italy to start the flashing.
🤣
.
Be honest, brunch never really existed did it, except for people who are too lazy to say late breakfast or early lunch. In the uk it has just become the excuse for stags and hens to drink in the morning without having to explain.

I’m not a big breakfast lover in general and prefer to go out to lunch or dinner. If I didn’t want pancakes at seven, I’m really not going to want them at noon.

I was never a fan of brunch, I won’t be going to the funeral. I like breakfast, and I don’t want to have to wait a few hours to dig into eggs and pancakes.
As for the tail, I bump into enough things around here as it is.

Same. We usually avoid going out on Sunday just for that reason.

That Japanese tail looks like it could, with minimal alteration, also become a poop-catcher. So balanced and colon-clean! What a breakthrough in geriatric science!

It could, but… ick!

For me, brunch died decades ago. LB Hilton stopped their outstanding brunch in response to 9/11 (which still makes no sense to me). El Torito Grill, in Costa Mesa, closed around then too. Their buffet brunch was amaaaazing…. the best in the area.
My social circle used to meet for brunch, stay till they closed, drive to someone’s house to freshen up, go to beerbust (unlimited beer for $10, plus free BBQ dinner), close that event (8pm), then drive back south for $6 mini pitchers of beer till 2am. Ahhhh… to be younger!!

Wow. That type of Sunday would probably kill me now…

Same!! I have fond memories but wouldn’t try it again!

Instead of a tail, just wrap yourself in bubble wrap.

That could work.

Brunch isn’t dead…trendy pompous brunch is dead 🤣

I’ve always found brunch to be a bit pompous.

I have never been a brunch guy, and I don’t favor having a tail to lug around, but I do wonder if a wolf spider can also eat your brain?

That’s research I’m not going to volunteer for!

Brunch is most definitely not dead, I swear. Mimosas and bloody Mary’s are still chic and in style. Also, that tail is overexaggerated, they are not that big. A faculty member where I work is also working on the design for a tail to help people with Parkinson’s.

Our higher end restaurants still do Sunday brunch here, but wow. The prices are enough to make you swoon.

Yippee! A new humiliation for the elderly! I used to love Easter brunches – with the chocolate eggs and yeast bunnies! But then they became sooo expensive (at least around here)

The last Sunday brunch we went to was $45 per.
Crazy!

I could probably use that tail. is it strong enough to be used as a chair? Just wondering…

Looks like it could be, but don’t quote me.

Brunch was always such a big deal in Portland, you could expect to wait 30-60 minutes every time. I don’t know if it’s still a “thing” there, but we are content to swing by the little mom-and-pop breakfast place next to the river for a simple but always satisfying meal. No mimosas there (but I can get a Bloody Mary if I’m so inclined, which is 1,000 times better than champagne anyway).

I rarely have a desire to get ready to go out early in the morning. I’m up at 5:00 but I like to ease into my day now…

I agree with you! Besides, Tara excels at breakfasts anyway. And, I know a thing or two about making bloody marys.

To me breakfast should be a laid back meal. Preferably enjoyed in pajamas…

You COULD wear pajamas to brunch. Pretty sure that wasn’t all that unusual in Portland! Keepin’ it weird and whatnot.

That Portland sounds more fun than ours.

Huh. Training wheels for old people.
But the important question is, how effective is it for self-defense?

If you take kangaroo lessons? Probably quite effective…

I could use the tail for balance…I went back to PT to work on it, and the therapist told me I need to start with my orthopedic surgeon. Apparently I have structural issues. But maybe that tail would work 😅

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully your ortho can find a less cumbersome solution…

I would like that tail just to brush away some pests including those who follow me too closely.

It would be good for that.

I don’t think that Tail will become fashionable unless it comes in different colors. In my case. Purple.

If it’s a hit, custom colors will follow.
