He wants you to keep your urine and use it as fertilizer.

Yeah, that’s not happening here.

Yes friends, you can be the proud owner of a 26 foot tall building shaped like a blueberry. A price hasn’t been announced yet, but really… does it even matter?

If our resident red squirrels hear about this, we’re doomed.

Jay Leno is a decent human being. When we visited Newport, Rhode Island twice last year we heard a lot of locals speak of him fondly. He has a large waterfront home there but appreciates being able to go into town without any fanfare. He frequents local shops and restaurants, watches local high school games and has been known to browse the farmers market. Caring for his wife who has advanced dementia at home and donating time and money to local charities has endeared him to Newporters and this story is further proof.

Somehow I can’t see Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos being quite as gracious.

  1. I’ll skip fertilizing the yard. I’d worry that it would drive the bunnies away.

Actually, the Jay Leno story is news I can use. It’s nice to see that even among the 1% there are some decent human beings. I’ve always liked him.

  2. Now I’m curious… what do they really do with giant pumpkins (other than the place that hollows them out and uses them as boats).

Very cool of Leno – thx for sharing that story!

The pee fertilizer seems like an odd idea, consider that animal pee can kill grass… though I recall learning (perhaps incorrectly) that it’s only girl ankmals’ pee that does damage.

    And, uh… yeah… I see a big blue vayjayjay.

  3. I love the story of Jay Leno! Gives me a different perspective on who he is. What a great thing to do! I always wanted to visit Iceland but now I find myself wondering about them in general and National Geographic. Funny!

  4. Believe it or not, I have been to that blueberry shop. Along with the tacky knickknacks, it did have some yummy blueberry products. Loved reading about what a good guy Jay Leno is. Actually, in these discouraging times, that was news I could actually use.
