.
Like everything else these days, Amazon is keeping tabs on us.
.

.
And while I know they keep records of purchases, I was unaware of the detailed profile they amass on customers.
.

.
Naturally, I checked mine.
.

.
Now some of those are easy to extrapolate from my buying history. But walks barefoot all the time? How the heck does Jeff Bezos know that!
And while it’s true I prefer it, I’ve never bought artisan jewelry from Amazon… so that’s troubling.
But the next section did make me feel a little better about their omnipotent all seeing eye.
.

.
Because while I do have a cat, I most certainly don’t have a sister.
🤣
.
I was happy with Amazon’s errors. The spoopy “how did they know?” items freaked me out! Odd that it didn’t have the barefoot one for me – maybe because I’ve bought lots of fuzzy socks (as gifts).
Did we discuss the fairly new revelation that Apple watches are always listening and transcribing EVERYTHING that they hear?? Transcribing is somehow not considered “recording” and is therefore legal.

I don’t have an Apple Watch.
Don’t want one either…

Same. And now I want to tell anyone wearing one to cover it while I’m around.

I got surprised by them this morning too! I was putting in an online order to Walmart and a pop-up from Amazon informed me that they had the same item almost two dollars cheaper. Feels invasive, but good to know…I guess.

Helpful, but intrusive.
It’s a fine line…

I”m guessing they read this and are updating their records now. More cat toys, fewer birthday cards for “Sis”

I guess I am safe, I have never purchased anything on Amazon, but I know Gail has purchased things in my name on my credit card, so they probably have a strange image of me, as well as a full image of her. I will let her know tomorrow, when she gets home from her mother’s dental surgery. I do not promise to report her reaction. We will see.

I see Amazon as a necessary evil. During early COVID it was sometimes the only source for items no longer on store shelves. And with the cost of factory it’s hard to argue with having something delivered instead of driving 50 miles to find it.

Well mine as far as I read were spot on 🙂 except head coverings lol I need to look up that company as I never wear hoods or hats but now 70 and winter coming and me out on a open air JD pushing snow around maybe I better start growing up 🙂 Have a great day neighbor.

Enjoy this beautiful autumn!

That is kind of scary that they keep such good track. And that you have a sister like someone is getting ready to take over your spot. Enjoy the day! Hope your healing is coming along. I finished my PT at home today, tomorrow in person. Happy!

I’m looking forward to the end of mine… and I just started.

That was interesting, sort of, it was just an aggregate of what I buy by brand name/category. And assumptions are made by my shopping choices. I prefer no calorie sweetener – because that’s all I buy. It did note my computer usage, assumes I have a desk top configuration, and that I have a tablet and mobile phone I do not use them to shop. It’s certainly nothing to get one’s shorts in a knot about.

Thanks to your tip, I checked and Amazon says this: “About you
We haven’t saved anything yet.” That was a relief.
And “walks barefoot all the time” comes in handy when hanging laundry outside. If you drop a clothespin while still holding an article of clothing, you can pick up the pin with your toes, hand (foot?) it up to your hand, and not drop the wet clothing.

Thanks for posting how to look this stuff up. My husband orders from my account and doesn’t have a separate account of his own. So, my preferences are a jumbled mess of his hobbies, my skin care, and it says I have a cat, although she passed away a few years ago.

It also says I have a driveway. How in the heck would that come up. We’ve never bought anything for the driveway.

Like my non existent sister.

Yes. I wonder how they came up with that sister?
I think they figured out we have a driveway because of their drivers. I’ve complained several times about them leaving a package on the street, or putting a package in our backyard! They can’t seem to navigate to our front door.

I notice that with the neighbors to our right. Their mailbox is on the street but their house is 12 acres down back and the drivers leave boxes at the roadside. In the snow. Not good.

We have a long driveway, but it’s not 12 acres! Snow wouldn’t work at all!

I just looked up my info. Says I likely collect Harry Potter items. Nope, they are gifts. Also Says, likely two Adults live here. Definitely Not! Also, says Likely never used a cordless vacuum before. How rude! Lol. Of course I have but didn’t like it.
