And devoted Game of Thrones fans like me have been waiting years for this day.
Years!

It’s the beginning of the end….. and unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard a little something about it.
To be honest, I wasn’t on board with GOT at first. Fantasy is not my genre and I didn’t see the appeal. But then I stumbled on a copy of the first book at a doctor’s office and was hooked. I flew through them all… which is saying something. (Have you seen them? The Easter Island moai weigh less.)
And having read the books, I had to binge watch seasons 1-3.
Yes, I had to.

Holy crap!
Thrones never disappoints.
Did I mention there are dragons?
Well, there are.
And they rock.

And cook… apparently.
I won’t drone on about about the fantastic global locations, the intricate plot lines or the multi dimensional characters. I won’t wax poetic about the wow factor or the oh no they didn’t! jaw dropping twists and turns.
Suffice it to say there’s never been a television show quite like Game of Thrones, and there probably never will be again.
So tomorrow? Don’t disturb me.
I’ll be wearing my shirt….

And happily immersing myself in the realm.

For the night is dark and full of terrors.
And if you don’t know what that means?
I may have to rethink our entire relationship….

See?
You probably don’t get this joke either….
And that’s just sad.
I’ve not read the books nor seen the TV show. I don’t do violence, stuff like that unsettles me for years. I’m highly sensitive, you know!

Understood. There definitely is some violence….

Yeah, just a little violence… and a wee bit of sex.

I am right there with you. I will be getting up at 0300 to watch (6 hour time different from US to Germany). I have already instructed my husband that he is NOT to say a word during the show, we will discuss everything after it is over…I dont want to miss a word! I have spent the last week watching previous episodes and fan theories on YouTube. I am addicted, clearly.

Preach sister! I just rewatched all 7 seasons…
Let the games begin.

We were late to get on board, too. We ended up binge watching seasons 1-5. Because there is SO MUCH INTRICATE DETAIL, I actually think that, for my ageing brain, it was better to binge watch. Otherwise, with a year or so between seasons, I would have forgotten so much. Certain scenes still give me chills when I think about them. I, too, will be glued to the television on Sunday. Happy watching everyone!

I’ve binge watched the entire series twice this year.
My name is River and I’m a Thrones addict.

My husband just told me about social plans we have for tomorrow evening. I told him to reschedule them because I’m not leaving the house. He said, “But you can watch it later on demand.” I said, “Nope, I wanna watch when the whole World is watching.”
The poor dear thinks I’m kidding.
Are the books similar to the storyline of the series? I tried to read the first book AFTER watching the first season. I didn’t make it all the way through the book. Not because it wasn’t interesting but because I got distracted.

The series left the books behind after a few seasons. I read them first, which was good… but I wouldn’t recommend them after. Too many different plots and characters…
And yeah. My husband won’t watch either…
It’s amazing our marriage has survived.

Awww….That means you also have no idea what’s gonna happen for the 8th and final series, right?

No one does. George R. R. Martin hasn’t even finished that book yet…. and it will be different than the series in many ways.

Here’s a mind blower from the books… Arya and Gendry are a romantic couple!

What???!!!! Whoa!!!! The series totally skipped over that one, huh?
Gendry is Robert Baratheon’s bastard son, right? The blacksmith.

Yes, he is. As far as we know…

Don’t you just wish dragons were real? I mean the kind that we could train not the ones that would hunt us down for food, lol.

I have yet to get into Game of Thrones. Yes. I am one of those cultural Philistines …
But if I take up reading and watching movies again, it will be this series … fantasy with bloodletting is very appealing …

Many eons ago when GOT started I watched the first 3 episodes–and have never gone back and have never thought about it again!

You should have watched all of season 1… you would have been hooked!

Sorry, River, but I like it here under my rock. This show just doesn’t look appealing to me in the slightest.

Previews do not capture the glory that is Thrones… but okay. I’ll let that particular character flaw slide.
