The end really is near.
L.L. Bean closing all U.S. stores amid coronavirus concerns
L.L. Bean is closing all U.S. retail locations beginning midnight Monday through March 29 out of precaution for the spread of coronavirus, COVID-19, L.L. Bean President and CEO Steve Smith said in a press release Monday.
Yes… the store that’s open 24/7 seven days a week, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas…. is closing.
For those of you who don’t live in Maine? ( I’m sorry, you really should.)
Or are unfamiliar with L.L. Beans? (Where have you been, under a rock?)
THEY NEVER CLOSE!
Ever.
It’s kind of their thing.
They don’t even have locks on their doors!
Of course this is huge news up here as they employ like half the state…. so I can only surmise one thing.
We’re doomed.
The end is truly near….
It’s been nice knowing you.
It’s getting scary.

It’s getting crazy. Safety precautions are fine but how long do you think the country can keep the “we’re closed” sign up?

Today I heard the toilet seat in our house say to the toilet THE END IS NEAR. I suspect they’re tired of being the butt of my jokes and being dumped on, but they didn’t seem to believe me when I told them it’s all water down the drain. OK, so it’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it.

I’m reminded of Steven Wright’s joke about the time he went to 7/11 and there was a guy locking it up. Wright said, “I thought you were open twenty-four hours,” and the guy said, “Not in a row!”

I guess it’s LL Bye Bye for now.
I got an e-mail from Turbo Tax reassuring me about all the actions they were taking because of coronavirus. This put me at great ease since I’ve been stressing over what they would do for days now.

Woohoo! No locks. I know where I’m going first when the looting and rioting begins! 🤗

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they have now installed locks in preparation for the closure.
No ugly boots for you!
