James Taylor.
How wonderful is that!
Yes, I could easily ride out the Covid crisis with James.
.
.
He was the soundtrack of my youth.
.
.
My early married life.
.
.
And his music still speaks to me today.
.
.
Welcome James, pull up a chair and have a cuppa…
.
Who’s stuck in my house?
Jerry Jeff Walker. And he was even sober ….
But I sure don’t want his boots under my bed …

I admit I had to look this one up and am unfamiliar with Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother’s author. Had to chuckle at the fact the outlaw cowboy was born in New York though…

It was odd the number of Noo Yawk cowboys there were in the Rocky Mountain west. They really handled the isolation better than us country boys did …
Not that I ever considered JJ a cowboy … we knew what “all hat/no cattle” means …;-)

I assume my sons college recitals dont count…so it would be Dan Fogelberg over 30 years ago.

Dave Matthews Band in Philly.
Patchoulli here in Florida ~ a folksy duo reminiscent of Carly Simon, Carole King.
BTW: I listened to all my Fogelberg CD’s this week and decided to keep them all.

Iron Maiden. Dragged by the husband for music appreciation. Never been so scared in my life.

Quarantined with the last musical artist i saw live? Ella Fitzgerald. OK, so she’s been dead over 20 years — but at least she wouldn’t be any bother, and no one need know there’s a skeleton in my closet.

It was Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie…

My kids needed me to take them to Mayhemfest, an all day metal concert. Since then, I’ve only been to an opera as far as music goes…

That’s quite a large swing. Unless Manson has an Aida recording I don’t know about..

Metallica, and I’d be overwhelmingly happy to be stuck with all of them in my house! Although I’m sure that my neighbors would have called the cops by now because if your not a Metallica fan, Master of Puppets might get a bit old after a while…lol.

Yikes.
A little Metallica goes a long way for me.

Kenny Rogers. He’s gone now. Guess it will be a one sided conversation huh?

Donny Osmond! I actually saw Donny and Marie but Marie left before the Meet & Greet. Donny would be awesome to get to know better and we could finally sing a duet! “I’m A Little Bit Country….”

It’s been quite a few years, and I’d have to check with Partner to confirm, but I think the last show was Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin. Acoustic guitars and a minimal band. At the restored and still grand Majestic Theater in downtown Dallas. It was fantastic…

Acoustic guitars are a soothing way to ride out the pandemic. Enjoy..
