Did I laugh when she scrambled on top of the gutter, slipped and fell in the downspout?

Damn right I did.

  1. We had a squirrel that got into the attic by chewing through the flashing around an exhaust fan vent. Come to find out, according to squirrel experts, squirrels like the taste of glue or any adhesive. My point being that from your squirrel’s pov you may have created a tasty treat.

  2. We had a relentless woodpecker that knocked a huge hole in the house trim. I hurled rocks, sticks and epithets to chase it off but it always came back, at least until we got the trim replaced and painted after a hailstorm last year. Hopefully it’s found another house to molest.

  3. The squirrel slipped on the gutter? If you greased it, that will just make her re-double her efforts to get in. If you didn’t grease it, she’ll think you don’t love her anymore and make you pay a price for ignoring her. You’re doomed.

  4. I feel by laughing at her fall, you’ve brought about some bad karma… Don’t be surprised if she finds refuge right above your bedroom ceiling!
