I’m going to continue to share photos from this marvelous book until you get tired of them and ask me to stop.

Oncilla.

Okay, maybe not even then. But I do promise to consider it.

Hibernating arctic ground squirrels.
.
Wish I could send our red squirrel from Hell to the arctic circle for a long winter’s nap.
.
.
Gee’s Golden Langur.
.
Tell me you don’t see the humanity in that portrait. I dare you.

.
Giant Anteater and pup.
.
Love the giant anteater! I could totally see one of those curled up on the couch beside me.
.
.
Himalayan Griffon.
.
You have to love a bird who can rock a feather boa. It’s not an easy look to pull off.
.
.
Choctawhatchee Beach Mouse.
.
Hang in there little mouse. We’ve all been there.
.
.
Common Spider Crab.
.
Mother Nature is marvelous.

.
Coquerel’s Sifaka.
.
No doubt about it.

Ok, who is the author of this so called book. These pictures were copyrighted when I published my family photo album.

You’ll have to take that up with Joel Sartore… and your great aunt Edna.

The wonders of nature just amaze me. I love anteaters just because they’re so funny looking, but it’s the Himalayan Griffon that really got me. “Bird brain” should never be used as an insult because many of them are really quite smart.

The anteater is my kind of weirdo.

Just FYI: since I saw your first Photo Ark post, I’ve been skipping the subsequent posts. Why? Because I bought it and the new bunny is giving it to us for Christmas. (I had to wrap it, but I didn’t peek inside.)

Brilliant. There’s only one more post to come… so I’ll see you back here afterward.

All very interesting. I can see the humanity in that monkey picture…I’ve stopped going to zoos because I can’t stand to see the sad monkeys in them, they look too much like people. Love the anteater, too!

I feel the same way about zoos, most of them are horribly depressing places for animals.

I see intelligence in their eyes and you can see the cogs turning, so that kind of negates a lot of humanity….

Ha! They are far superior, I agree.
