.
I don’t often recommend beer to friends because everyone tends to like something different. But once in a while I come across a special one that makes me so happy…. I have to share.
.

.
This strange Belgian concoction has a delicious whiff on chocolate upon introduction…. and then sweeps you skyward in a heady sour cherry cloud.
.

.
Pairs well with rich and dense desserts?
Then bring on the 12 pound chocolate fudge layer cake and River is one happy blogger.
.
.
Seriously, if you like sours? You’ve got to try this one.
.

.
Frank A. agrees.
.
Had a fudge brownie with ice cream, hot fudge sauce and caramel drizzle. OMG…………

I’ll pass, but I sent this to a couple of folks who are more open minded about beer than I am.

You have to like sours to appreciate this one.

How did we get from beer to sours????

I don’t know if I’d like this beer, but if you say there’s a taste of chocolate + cherry I could be persuaded to try it. Never heard of it before.

I hadn’t either, it’s a weirdo. But if you enjoy sours… I think you’ll like this one.

I think I might have to talk the husband into letting me get a keg when (and if) we ever manage to find a cooler.

The “planet?” lol.
Well, I will have to search for this Duchess brew, because I’m sure I won’t find it locally. But, on to that 10 lb chocolate cake with cream on the side…..did it make the beer taste good or vice versa? lol

It was ridiculous how well it paired. Truly yummy.

Well, I’ve always known that Budweiser and Chocolate cake pair well. Yes, BUD and Choco Cake girlfriend, don’t judge. But this beer sounds amazing, so the Huntress will try this. I shall bake a chocolate cake (go buy one at Nothing Bunt Cakes) and do a taste test.

Hope you can find it! But for the love of all that’s holy, ditch the Budweiser.

Mmmm. It is probably OK … always felt that beer paired with hotdogs and stuff. Beer with dessert?
And beer should only have on name. Blatz. Tivoli. Coors. Labatt. Hamms. Olympia.
OK … Lone Star is two words, but we just call ’em long necks down here.
But Dochess dey Fifi Boorgogknee Parfumes Skyhook is a bit much when you walk into a saloon and just want a beer …
How low beer drinking has fallen …

You’re a purist, I get that. But there’s a whole new wide world of flavors in the craft beer industry. And this brewery in Belgium? Has been in business since 1875, so they’re not exactly the new kid on the block.

Well, yeah. But that is Belgium. They still think Charlemagne is king. And he had some rather Frenchy ideas.

Frenchy fries? lmao

Belgium gave us wonderful chocolate, waffles and beer. That transcends politics.

The only dessert I’d have with a beer would be a bag of Doritos…

Normally I’d agree. But this one begged for it…. I couldn’t refuse.

I like my beer how I like my pickles: sour. Otherwise, pass me anything else.

I love sours. The husband hates them…
