Ever think about buying a decoy bird or two? We have several of them around where I work. Of course you’ll have to find one the squirrels are afraid of. Maybe decoy cats will work?
I have a decoy owl that sadly does NOT do the job.

Decoy, hell. We have the real thing with hawks, ospreys and eagles. We even had an owl on our roof the other night…. scared the heck out of the cat.
