Did you see this on the news?
.

.
A woman answered a Craigslist ad and brought home a free couch. She noticed it was lumpy on one side and when she unzipped the cushion she found $36,000 in cash. The remarkable part of the story? She called the owner and gave it back. Turns out the furniture they were giving away was from a deceased relative who was notorious for hiding money. The owners were so pleased, they bought the woman a new refrigerator.
What say you? If the money was in your free couch cushion…. would you return it?
In other news, some interesting critters have been spotted on our road.
.

.
This fellow was right around the bend.
.

.
This guy was a little farther down. In all the years we’ve lived here, I’ve never spotted a moose. I’m hoping he’ll make his way to our backyard buffet soon.
.

.
Two ostriches for $880 or three for $190. Someone needs to check their ad copy.
.
I would hate myself, but I would return it anyway…

I’d like to think I would. But to feel that large amount of cash? Very tempting….

Hell to the no I wouldn’t return it, they gave it for FREE. so I say the couch and the money belong to the person who got the couch. Yes I’m evil I know……😈

What gets me is if they knew the dead relative was a notorious money hider… why wouldn’t you check before giving something away?

Right? So had she said nothing they would have never known.

$36,000. Toughie. Part of me says they had ample opportunity to check to see what the lump was, and part of me says they had ample time to see what the lump was but they tried to pawn it off on me.

I doubt they ever sat on it.

“It’s just money” That’s what I would tell them. If you like the bear, run his ass off. Fed bear=dead bear.

And the dead relative was a money hider. Check before you give his things away!

Too small. It’s not my first poop rodeo… I have a chart.

Yee-HAW! What’s that smell? The poop rodeo must be in town. Can’t tell the players without a program.

We once found money (not that much) that had been hidden by a previous owner – we gave it back.

I’m going to say I’d give it back in theory. I can’t honestly promise any more than that.

In theory is easy. Cash in hand is probably a bit more difficult…
