My favorite flower is in full bloom.

It’s peony time!

For a bright burst of color you really can’t beat them.

And the fragrance? Heavenly….

They also make a nice backdrop for pictures of his lordship.

Oh how gorgeous, I love peony’s! I just noticed his Lordship looks like he’s walking around in just hi socks, lol.

My second favorite flower–sadly they don’t bloom down here! Oh, the first? Bird of Paradise!

I can appreciate the mention of the fragrance. I told you about the lilacs I planted from seeds ten or so years ago. This is the first year most of them are blooming. What a glorious experience just walking out our front door. I hope the neighbours appreciate it too, but I doubt they get it as strongly as we do, with lilacs on both sides of the house.

Our lilacs are right outside our bedroom windows. A perfect way to wake up…

There is an annual event near us called the Festival of the Peony. 25 acres of fragrance. His lordship looks like he approves of this flower.

They’re fabulous. In the garden and as cut flowers…. I love them. Just wished they lasted longer.

We have peonies too, and I agree. They’re pretty awesome. Weird how they always attract gaggles of ants though.

Oddly enough, ours don’t.
